Work upward in small sections. Support the hair or base and never pull a brush forcefully through a knot.

Store clean and dry
Let the piece rest naturally on a wig stand or mannequin head, away from direct sunlight, heat, humidity and dust.
After every wear
Check the nape for tangles, gently detangle dry fibers from the ends upward, and let the cap air out before storage.
Between washes
If only the inside of the cap or hairline needs refreshing, spot-clean that area with a damp cloth and a small amount of synthetic-wig cleanser. Let it dry completely before wearing.
When buildup appears
Wash when sweat, odor or styling-product residue affects the look or feel. A full wash is not necessary after every wear.
Before storage
Make sure the wig is fully dry and lightly detangled, then protect it from dust, direct sunlight, humidity and uncontrolled heat.

- Do not rub, twist, wring or bunch the fiber.

- Use heat only when the product is explicitly heat-friendly, and stay within its stated limit.

Wash according to wear, climate and product buildup—not simply by the calendar.
Detangle before water
Place the dry piece on a stand. Start at the ends, move upward in small sections and support the cap while working.
Prepare cool to lukewarm water
Use a clean basin and a small amount of shampoo made for the correct fiber. Avoid very hot water.
Clean in one direction
Let water and cleanser move from roots toward ends. Smooth gently—never scrub, twist or pile the hair.
Rinse thoroughly
Keep the hair aligned while rinsing until the water runs clear. Handle lace, silk bases and hand-tied areas with extra care.
Condition by need
Use a lightweight conditioner made for synthetic wigs and follow its directions. Apply it to the fiber rather than knots, roots, clips or bonded areas.
Blot and air-dry
Press gently in a clean towel without rubbing or wringing. Reshape on a suitable stand and let the piece dry fully before brushing or styling.

Heat-friendly is not heatproof
Even heat-friendly synthetic fiber can melt, frizz or change shape permanently. Follow the limit shown on the product page or care label, start with the lowest setting and test a hidden section first. Keep synthetic hair away from open ovens, grills, fireplaces and hot steam.

Special care where it matters
For toppers
Open every clip before removal and never pull the topper away while clips are closed. Support the base when brushing, keep oils away from clips and attachment areas, and rotate clip placement when appropriate to reduce repeated tension on biological hair.
For curls and lighter colors
Curly, long and highly processed light shades often need more careful detangling around the nape and ends. Separate curls with fingers or the recommended tool, refresh lightly, and avoid over-brushing or heavy product that collapses the pattern.

How often should I wash my wig or topper?
There is no single schedule for every piece. Wash when sweat, odor, styling product or environmental buildup affects the look or feel. Frequent washing can shorten wear, so use the lightest routine that keeps the piece fresh.
Can I use my regular shampoo and conditioner?
Choose products formulated for the fiber and construction. Synthetic hair needs synthetic-wig products; human hair benefits from gentle, color-safe care. Avoid heavy oils, strong clarifying formulas and conditioner directly on knots or bonded areas.
Can I use a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron?
Only when the product information permits it. Standard synthetic fiber must not be heated. Heat-friendly synthetic fiber must stay within the limit stated on the product page or care label. Begin with the lowest setting and keep direct heat away from lace, bases and knots.
Can I brush a synthetic wig while it is wet?
Avoid brushing or stretching wet synthetic fibers. Let the wig air-dry completely, then detangle gently from the ends upward unless the instructions for your specific piece say otherwise.
Can I dye a synthetic wig?
Conventional human-hair dye is generally unsuitable for synthetic fibers. Color treatments can cause permanent damage, so choose the shade you need before ordering or contact EWIGSC before attempting a color change.
Is shedding normal?
A small amount can occur during brushing, washing and normal wear. Sudden or heavy shedding may indicate excess tension, rough handling, product buildup or damage to the base and should be assessed before further styling.
Why does the nape tangle first?
The nape rubs against collars, scarves, coats and skin throughout the day. Detangle it gently after wear, keep product light and consider smoother clothing around longer or textured pieces.
How should I travel with my piece?
Make sure it is completely dry, detangled and protected from crushing. Use a structured wig box or a breathable travel case, and pack a suitable comb, stand and care products separately.
